Eisenhart, Mildred E. (8 APR 1918 - 19 MAR 2011)

 

Mildred Evelyn (Behrens) Eisenhart born 4/8/18, at the age of 93 on Saturday March 19th, 2011 passed away peacefully in her sleep at a Care Home, in New Kensington, Maryland, where she has lived in Maryland, for over 60 years and has been cared for past 10 some years at different Care homes,  as she suffered from Alzheimer's.

 

She and her Husband lived in New Kensington, MD  on Elrod Road since the early 1950’s, where she and Dr. Churchill  raised two Daughters'  Evie and Penny.  She kept busy being a house wife and mother, raising the two girls and later as a Grand Mother, having Grand Children.  She had many hobbies, Garden work

and joined other local Organization's. She also loved doing Floral Designs for Flower Shows in that area for many decades. Plus enjoyed traveling back to Wisconsin and other States visiting family.

 

Dr. Churchill Eisenhart taught Statistician Mathematics  at the UW Madison, where the couple met and lived for few years before moving to Washington DC in the early 1950’s. He then worked for the USA Bureau of Standards of Weights and Measurements  in Washington DC as a Statistician, later on became the Chief Statistician for over 30 years, until his Retirement in the 1990’s.

 

Mildred is preceded in Death by her beloved husband Dr. Churchill Eisenhart and Daughter Evie Wollman and her parents Alex and Agnus Behrens and Grand Parents, Swen and Marie Haglund and her Four Sisters and their Husbands, Adeline and Adolph Jackson, Irma and Dr. Brose Hertzog, Lillian and Jim Redgren, Eileen and Rexford Battenberg. 

 

She is Survived by two Sisters Lucille Schmitt, 96 and Ede 82 and Husband Dick Warner and Daughter Penny and her Husband, Alan Verhoff and their four Boys, plus total of 6 Grand Children in the USA and New Zealand, plus Son in-law Ted Wollman and dozens of other family Nephew’s and Niece's and their Families in the USA and many Cousin’s in Canada and Maria and Grace Behrens.

 

Mildred is also Preceded in Death by her Six Brothers and their Wives.  Ed and Violet Behrens, Louie and Alice Behrens, Lee at age 4, Karl and Katherine Behrens, Harry and Bill Behrens and Harold Schmitt.
