Pine Valley Township (19 October 1961)

 

A barn raising bee was held at the Earl Collier farm last weekend.  Mr. and Mrs. Collier moved to Pine Valley last spring from Illinois, purchasing the Norbert Klueger farm, south of Moraine Tower.

 

The barn was blown down several years ago.

 

Neighbors assisting were: Robert and Rudolph Opelt, Leslie Cook, Percy Zickert, Ernest Mohr, Charles Lorden, Clifford Winter, Martin and Herbert Wagner, Roy Collier, Otto Wetzel, august Klann and August Nemitz.

 

Mrs. Jake Langreck was hostess to the Pine Valley Home Makers club Wednesday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bohdan J. Kushnir and son, Alexander, of Detroit, Mich., the Rev. and Mrs. Vladimir Borowsky and children and Elizabeth Borowsky of Minneapolis visited at the Rev. Jacob Borowsky home last week. Mr. Kushnir is a doctor of philosophy and minister of music in Detroit.
