Humbird, Wisconsin (5 October 1961)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Dick Trachsel of Rochester spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Trachsel. They recently returned from a two-week stay in Kansas City, where he had attended a school of dentistry.

 

Mrs. Alyce Gearing accompanied Mrs. Sidney Gearing of Alma Center and Mrs. Floyd Gearing of Merrillan to Black River Falls Friday.

 

The ladies of the W. S. C. S. will sponsor a food and thrift sale October 14, at 10 a.m.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Archie Nelson of Eau Claire were overnight guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Newton. Sunday they and the Newton’s drove to Richland Center to visit the H. J. Campbells.  On their way home they stopped in Sparta at the Hal Russell home.

 

Mrs. Fred Trachsel attended the wedding of a cousin in Amherst Saturday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Everett Senske and Jeff of St. Paul spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Archie Kirby.

 

Raymond Ryan or Lansing, Mich., and Chester Ryan of Miami, Fla., spent a long weekend with Mrs. Harry Marsden and her two small daughters.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sonheim of Bogota, N. J., were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jean Bishop.

 

Mrs. Emma O’Leary accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Earl DeLong of Owen to Two Rivers last weekend to visit Mrs. Lilah Schneller.

 

Peter DeLong’s little daughter is seriously ill with pneumonia. She is in the hospital at Black River Falls.
