Sterzinger, Denise (Marriage - 30 September 1961)
Nuptial vows were exchanged Saturday in St. John’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford uniting in marriage Miss Denise Helen Sterzinger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Sterzinger, Rt. 1, Dorchester, and Bernard George Huss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Huss of Abbotsford. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Fr. Gerald F. Schuh before an altar adorned with baskets of white and yellow daisies and colored ‘mums.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride approached the altar in a floor length gown of Chantilly lace featuring a fitted bodice with a scalloped square neckline, trimmed with seed pearls and sequins, and long, tapered sleeves. The full hoop skirt was styled with a lace front panel and tulle ruffles alternating with lace over taffeta. A crystal and pearl crown held her fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white pompons, with streamers of ferns.
Mrs. Robert Brown of Athens was her matron-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Derlene Pfeffer, Unity, and Miss Joyce Sterzinger of Eureka, Ill.
Robert Brown of Athens was bestman. Groomsman was Donnie Feldbruegge, Dorchester.
Nuptial music was furnished by the church choir. A wedding reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.
Mrs. Huss is a graduate of Colby High School and has been employed in Marshfield. Mr. Huss, a graduate of Abbottsford High School, works with his father in the plumbing business.
