Loos, Marlene Ann (Marriage - 16 September 1961)
Marlene Ann Loos of Minneapolis, Minn., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Loos of Rt. 2, Loyal, became the bride of Jerome Edward Hinker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Hinker of Rt. 1, Greenwood, in a double ring ceremony performed Saturday by the Rev. Norbert E. King, in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white floor length gown of Chantilly lace and tulle, fashioned with a scalloped sweetheart neckline, and trimmed with sequins and pearls. Long sleeves came to a point at the wrists. The bouffant hoop skirt was fashioned with tiers of tulle and lace, and her fingertip veil was held to a sequin and pearl trimmed crown. She carried a cascade of roses, white stephanotis and feathered chrysanthemums.
She chose as her matron of honor her sister, Mrs. Eugene Hinker. Bridesmaids were three other sisters, the Misses June, Sharon and Janet Loos, all of Loyal.
Eugene Hinker served his brother as bestman. Ushers were Robert Gregorich of Greenwood, and George Graunke of Menomonie.
A dinner and supper were served in the church hall, and a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.
Following a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin and the upper peninsula of Michigan, the newlyweds will reside in Greenwood after September 24.
The bride is a graduate of Loyal High School. The groom is a graduate of Greenwood High School and is employed by the Greenwood Cooperative.
