Becknell, Anna E. (26 February 1879 - 24 August 1961)

Funeral services were conducted in Fort Atkinson Monday for Mrs. Anna E. Becknell, 82, Croton-on-the-Hudson, N. Y., formerly of Ft. Atkinson and Janesville, who died here Thursday. The Georgas Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.

Mrs. Becknell was born February 26, 1879, in Waverly, IA.  After the death of her first husband, Frank Wylam, she was married to the late Henry S. Becknell in Nashua, Ia., June 14, 1922.  For the last eight years she had been making her home with her daughter in New York, and spent her summers at the Leslie and Hugh Hubbard home, west of Neillsville, where she was staying when taken ill.  She had been here since April.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Parker, Croton-on-the-Hudson, N. Y.; a sister, Mrs. Vila Leaman, Waterloo, Ia.; and a brother, Robert Patterson, Butte, Mont. Three grandchildren and a great-grandchild also survive.
