Lesneski, Mary Lois (Marriage - 19 August 1961)

Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen was the scene Saturday morning of the wedding of Mary Lois Lesneski of Withee and Arlyn Mills of Owen. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Lesneski, north of Withee, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Mills of Owen, and formerly of Neillsville.

The bride wore a floor length gown of Poi de Soie with three-quarter length sleeves, scoop neckline and bow in the back. She was given in marriage by her father. Her fingertip veil of imported silk illusion had a crystal crown. She carried a cascade of Amazon lilies, stephanotis and feathered carnations.

Her attendants, Miss Joan Sluzesiski and Mrs. Robert Gierl, wore blue taffeta dresses with bell skirts, short sleeves and matching shoes, and pillbox hats. Their flowers were cascades of white and blue pompons.

Robert Gierl and Roger Lesneski were the groom’s attendants, while a brother, Donald Mills, ushered.

The Rev. H. L. Krubel of Holy Rosary officiated.

Breakfast at the Woodland Hotel followed the ceremony and in the afternoon a reception was held at Meadow View Country Club. Mrs. Donald Mills was in charge of the guest book and Carole Wagner of the punch bowl.

The newlyweds will tour northern Wisconsin and upper Michigan on their honeymoon.

The bride graduated from Spencerian College, Milwaukee, in 1960, and has been employed at Wisconsin State Teachers College in Eau Claire, where the groom was a student.  He is a member of Sigma Tau Gamma.

They will be at home at 639 ½ Water Street in Eau Claire.
