Withee, Wisconsin (17 August 1961)

 

Larry Fagan, formerly of Withee, is at the Great Lakes Naval Training Station, for two weeks of training.

 

Mrs. A. M. Wilson returned Friday from a five-week vacation trip to Rochester, N. Y., to visit her son and his family, and to visit a sister, Mrs. R. W. Gibson, in Columbus, O.  Mrs. Wilson was accompanied back to Owen by her sister and brother-in-law, who will stay until early next week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Harris Johnson and three children Saturday started on a two-week trip in their trailer through Wisconsin.

 

Mrs. Al Altenburg has returned from a plane trip to Oregon, where she and her sister, Mrs. Beulah Rouse, visited another sister, Mrs. Al Altenburg of Grants’ Pass, and other relatives and friends in Oregon and California.

 

Visiting Mrs. Herman Rabska, south of Withee, are the following: her sisters, Mrs. George Clark and Mrs. Ernest Thompson and two children of Wilmette, Ill.; and Mrs. John Davidson and two boys of River Falls.  Mrs. Davidson and children left Thursday. The others remained for a longer visit.  Mrs. Len Ford, another sister who has also been visiting the Rabskas has returned to Fort Morgan, Colo.

 

Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Adams, Milwaukee, have been visiting her sister, Mrs. Arno Vater of Withee, for several days. They returned Friday afternoon.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Gus Baum, Jr., and daughter of Chicago, Ill., are visiting his brothers and their families near Withee for a few weeks.

 

The Withee Bible Student Ecclesia meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Dorothy Baum each Sunday morning through August.

 

Ed Wendt, Frank Cieslik and Jim List wee in Appleton last Thursday.

 

The monthly meeting of the Royal Neighbors of Withee-Owen was held at the home of Miss Natalie Scherf last Thursday.

 

Miss Rosalie Wendt had a birthday slumber party Friday night (balance is missing) .
