Kraschnewski, Marilyn V. (17 SEP 1955)

Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church at Medford, decorated with two trees fashioned of bronze and yellow chrysanthemums, interspersed with maiden hair fern, edged with silver bells and two large vases of gladioli on the altar steps, was the scene of the nuptial ceremony, during which Miss Marilyn Verone Kraschnewski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter A. Kraschnewski, route 1, Medford, became the bride of Billy Lee Trindal, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Trindal of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) .  The Rev. A. J. Engel was officiant.

Miss Kraschnewski chose of her wedding day, Saturday, Sept. 17, 1955, the 30^th anniversary of her parents, and the sixth wedding anniversary of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Mildbrand of Medford.  Mrs. Mildbrand served as her matron of honor and Mr. Mildbrand served as best man.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of embroidered nylon tulle with a sweep train.  It was detailed in back with a series of deep ruffles extending into the train.  The scoop neckline was scalloped and the sleeves were short with gauntlets to match.  The fingertip veil of nylon tulle was attached to a crown of tiny rhinestone centered peaks.  The bridal bouquet was fashioned of two white orchids surrounded by lily of the valley.  Her jewelry was a pearl necklace and earrings, a gift of the groom.

Mrs. Mildbrand was attired in a mint green waltz length gown of silk crystalette and large floral embroidered crystalette.  The long torso, empire bodice of the gown, fashioned of embroidered crystalette, with a modified scoop neckline and short sleeves, was complemented by matching mitts which tapered to points over the wrists.  The bodice was attached to a very bouffant skirt.  She wore a halo of mums and a face veil and carried a cascade arrangement of white Fuji mums.

The bridesmaids, in sage green gowns identically styled like the grown of the matron of honor, carried cascades of bronze mums surrounded by yellow mums.  Their halos of mums and their face veils were brown.  All of the bride’s attendants wore pearl necklaces and earrings, which were gifts of the bride.  The bridesmaids were Miss Sharon Fahrenbach and Miss Margaret Lang, and Miss Sandra Kraschnewski of Medford, and Miss Vivian Niemuth of Stetsonville.  Miss Kraschnewski is a cousin of the bride.

Shelby and Cindy Trindal, small sisters of the groom, were flower girls and wore white net over taffeta with tiny pink flowers trimming the tiny sleeves and lowered waistlines.  Their gifts from the bride were necklaces of small seed pearls.  They carried white lace baskets of sweetheart rose buds and white baby mums.

Groomsmen were Richard Ohlrogge, Donald Schwantes, Wayne Winter, and Lynn Lawrenz, all of Loyal.

Large white satin bows marked the pews in which the wedding guests were seated by the ushers, Dr. K. W. Rice, Marshfield, an uncle of the groom, and Mike Kraschnewski, Racine, a cousin of the bride.

The mother of the bride wore grey lace over mauve with mauve accessories and the mother of the groom wore a raspberry crystalette cocktail dress with soft green accessories.  A white orchid corsage was provided for both mothers.

Lee Shield, soloist, sang, "The Lord’s Prayer" and "Oh Perfect Love."

Following a reception at the home of the bride’s parents, a 4:30 o’clock dinner was served to over 400 guests at the American Legion Club rooms.  After a wedding dance at Memorial Hall, Dorchester, the newlyweds left for a honeymoon in Michigan.  Upon their return they will make their home in Loyal.  The groom attended Loyal High School and his wife, Medford High School.

Among the out of town guests were Mrs. W. W. Trindal, Eau Claire, Great-grandmother of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Trindal, Loyal, grandparents of the groom, and Mr. and Mrs. L.N. Thomas, Kansas City, Kansas, also grandparents of the groom, with others from New Jersey, Arizona, Loyal, Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, Spencer, Greenwood, Milwaukee, Racine, Janesville, Johnson Creek, Marshfield, Stetsonville, Dorchester, Abbotsford, Athens, Waukesha, Hales Corners, Union Grove, Cornell, Green Bay, Manawa, Wausau, Appleton, Stevens Point and Sheboygan.
