Humbird, Wisconsin (1 June 1961)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Archie Nelson of Eau Claire spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Sam Newton.  All were supper guests in the Thane Joos home in rural Alma Center.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Haigh of Neillsville visited Sunday in the home of Miss Elsie Jahn.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Walker attended a kitchen shower Sunday in the Jerry Koranda home in honor of the Keith Durham’s near Neillsville.

 

The American Legion auxiliary will meet Monday at 8 p.m. in the John Burchell home.

 

Mrs. Emma O’Leary was a guest Sunday in the Albert Holman home in the Tindahl community.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kopp and children and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Fitzmaurice and children spent the weekend at Lake McCann.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Fitzmaurice and Mrs. Emma O’Leary came home Thursday from Janesville where they had attended the funeral of Ivan Putman.

 

Rev. and Mrs. Carl Serr were in Eau Claire on business Wednesday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kvoll of Menomonie called at the Henry Laffe home Friday.

 

Mrs. LaVern Kuhlman of Winona visited in the home of her cousin, Henry Laffe Wednesday. She was accompanied by Mrs. Lottie Kuhlman, who visited her cousin, Mrs. Archie Sparks.

 

Mrs. Mary Iffland spent Sunday with her brother, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Laffe.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Laffe attended Commencement exercises in Greenwood Thursday night.  Her nephew, Frank Clouse, was a graduate.
