Mrs. Jacob Grether and Mrs. Donald Hagie visited friends in Marshfield Monday.
The Sydney Sewing Club will meet today (Thursday) at the home of Mrs. George Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Werner Jenni and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Jenni and family visited the Myron Payne family in Sheboygan last weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bullis of Minneapolis visited her daughter, Mrs. Herbert Williams, and family last weekend and cared for Mark and Keith Williams while their parents were in Madison.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Williams visited friends in Verona Friday evening. Saturday evening they attended a banquet at the Lorraine Hotel in Madison, when Mr. Williams was presented a framed citation from the Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers. Two other state science teachers also were honored, one from Madison and one from Sheboygan.
Mrs. Anna Clark, Minneapolis, Minn., was a weekend guest of Mrs. Ernest Campbell and helped Mrs. Campbell observe her birthday.
Among those attending the Ice follies in Minneapolis, last Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. George Prochazka, Mrs. Belle Wildish and Bob Wagner.
Miss Jennie Maxwell is moving Saturday to the Schiesel house recently occupied by the late Adele Zuege. Mrs. Carrie McDonough will occupy the Hopkins apartment vacated by Miss Maxwell.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Quad of Thorp have joined the staff at the Winnebago Children’s home, succeeding Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence McKevitt.
Mr. and Mrs. Tony Hantke and Miss Elsie Wolf spent the weekend in Green Bay with Mr. Hantke’s sister, Mrs. Walter Klapper and her family.
Jon Karnitz, who attends school in La Crosse, spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Karnitz.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Rush, Merrillan, were recent guests of her sister, Mrs. Ernest Karnitz.
Dr. and Mrs. T. N. Thompson and family, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lipsey and family to Minneapolis, over the weekend. They attended the Ice follies and sport show.
Jess Mike was taken last week to the veteran’s hospital in Madison for medical care.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wilson spent the weekend with their daughter, Mrs. Alan Trichie, in Northfield, Minn.
Mr. and Mrs. George Volz, Wisconsin Rapids, were Sunday guests of her mother, Mrs. Otto May.
Ray Eggiman underwent surgery last week in Marshfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Karnitz and son spent the weekend in West Bend with her sister, Mrs. Louie Cardarelle and family.
Mr. and Mrs. William Reynolds and daughter and Mrs. Joan Bowman of Wisconsin Rapids were dinner guests at the Jack Reynolds home Sunday.
Mrs. Norbert Speier and son of Ripon visited Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Wavrunek last weekend.
A delegation of women from St. Mary’s Church will attend a Jackson-Clark Deanery meeting in Colby today (Thursday) .
Mrs. Agnes Cummings entertained last weekend Mr. and Mrs. Harold Stephans and Dean, Mr. and Mrs. John Cummings, and Michael Glenview, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cummings and family of Black River Falls; Mrs. James Cummings and children of (missing portion) .
