Stanke, Ella Marie (19 JAN 1963)

The marriage of David Weetz, Stevens Point, and Miss Ella Marie Stanke, took place at St. James Catholic Church, Amherst Jan. 19, 1963, with the Rev. Alfred Hemmersbach officiating at the nuptial high mass.

The groom is a native of Abbotsford and a son of Clarence J. Weetz and the late Mrs. Weetz.  The bride’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Bernard J. Stanke of Nelsonville.

When Mr. Stanke gave his daughter in marriage she was wearing a floor length gown of Rochelle lace and a fingertip veil of embroidered illusion that was attached in a crown of lace in a leaf pattern outlined in pearls and sequins, and ribbon accented with blue brilliants.

Her two attendants were dressed alike in full skirted ballerina length frocks of cotillion blue nylon sheer.  They carried pink roses, white net and ribbon in colonial pearl holders.

Festivities  of the wedding day included a breakfast, reception and a 5 o’clock dinner at the Club L. & A.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Weetz will make their home in Stevens Point.  The groom served in the Navy following high school graduation and is now employed at Lullabye Furniture Corp.  His bride attended the American academy for Medical and Dental Assistants.
