Kademan, Judith Kay (3 NOV 1962)

Miss Judith Kay Kademan and Donald Lee Oehler exchanged marriage vows Saturday afternoon at the First United Church of Christ at Colby.  The Rev. Carl Serr read the service at 1:30 o’clock during which Richard Shambo sang "O Perfect Love" and "I Love Your Truly."  Miss Betty Kasper was the accompanist and organist.

Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Kademan of Route 1, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) , and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Oehler of Abbotsford, are the parents of the bridal couple.

Mr. and Mrs. John Block of Unity, and Miss Judy Miller of Curtiss, and Jerry Barker of Mayville, completed the wedding party.

The bride was attired in a street length dress of white peau taffeta styled with a scoop neckline and fitted bodice.  The fully gathered skirt was detailed with tucks and self-fabric bows.  A crown of pearls and crystal held her blushers veil.  She carried a heart shaped bouquet of white carnations and red roses with satin streamers to which red roses were tied.

Mrs. Block, a sister of the bride, and Miss Miller, a friend, wore dresses of emerald green make like the bride’s.  White carnations were used in their headpieces and white carnations and bronze mums were combined in the bouquets they carried.

Corsages of yellow and white mums were given to the three grandmothers in attendance; Mrs. Edwin Strade and Mrs. Seth Barker, Abbotsford, and Mrs. Oscar Kademan, Curtiss.

A wedding reception was held after the ceremony at Sportsmen’s Park and in the evening, a dance was held there.  Supper for about 105 guests was served in the parish hall.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Oehler are making their home in Abbotsford.  The groom is employed by his father in the sheet metal business.

Guests attending the wedding were from Appleton, Mayville, Medford, Dorchester, Colby, Unity, Spencer, Curtiss, and Abbotsford.
