Kammerer, Katherine (15 April 1878 - 5 March 1961)

Mrs. Anton Kammerer, 82, Rt. 3, Neillsville died Sunday morning in Memorial Hospital from complications.  In January she fractured her hip and had been in failing health since.

A requiem high mass was read Wednesday morning by the Rev. Fr. Joseph Eisenmann in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial was made in the parish cemetery here.

The former Katherine Keller, she was born April 15, 1878, in Hungary, and in 1894, was married to the late Anton Kammerer.  They lived in Hungary until 1908, when they came to the United States and located in Chicago, Ill.

In 1934 they moved onto a farm in the Town of Levis, and in 1940 they moved onto the present farm in the Town of Pine Valley.

She is survived by three sons: Anton of Chicago, Ill., George of Des Plaines, Ill., and Joe of Neillsville; and by a daughter, Mrs. Mary White of Neillsville.  Six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.

A general rosary service was said Tuesday evening at the Bergemann Funeral Home, which was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
