Horak, Frank (? - 1961)

Columbia News - by Irma Sollberger

The recent death of Frank Horak, 58, of Collins, Mont., has been reported here.

Mr. Horak was a native of this area; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Horak, owned the present Leo Sischo farm, located east of the Hewett Town Hall.

Frank attended the Columbia School and later he and his twin brother, Michael, left for Montana where they worked for a time before purchasing land there, and developing it into farms of their own.

About four years ago Frank returned for a visit with a sister in Black River Falls, also driving to the Columbia area, where he called on old friends and neighbors.

He is survived by his wife and two children: by three sisters, Mrs. Ed (Emma) Brauner of Black River Falls, Mrs. Joe (Mary) Jarolimek of Montana, and Mrs. Frank (Josie) Jarolimek of Chicago; and by two brothers, Michael of Montana and Joe of Hines, Ill.
