Grant Township (26 January –1961)

 

 Mrs. John Iwaszczenko took the "400" to Chicago Saturday to visit her children and to make the acquaintance of a new granddaughter and a new grandson.  She plans to be away a week or 10 days.  Olga Iwaszczenko accompanied her mother.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Domke of Janesville visited their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Domke, last weekend.

 

Walter Moldenhauer is recuperating from a recent attack of "flu".

 

Mary Howard sailed from a German port January 19 on the return trip after a three-month visit with her brother, Lt. James Howard, and his family. She will visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Verne G. Howard, before returning to Waconia, Minn.

 

Hubert Yankee, who is living with Mr. and Mrs. Verne G. Howard, was ill last week.

 

Mrs. Julia Poirer is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Curt Gest in Milwaukee.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Neil Johnston and Brian of Loyal visited at the Theamore Vine home Sunday.  Mrs. Johnston  is the former Isla Counsell of the Town of Grant.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Huckstead entertained Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Paulson and Mr. and Mrs. Clarion Counsell Monday evening.

 

Mrs. Irving Vine entertained the Grant Homemakers club last Thursday. Mrs. Ernest Kissling and Mrs. Gordon Vine presented the program on "Teenagers".
