Van Den Wildenberg, Eleonore Louise (Marriage - 1 September 1954)

St. Sebastian’s Church in Milwaukee was the setting for the 10 a.m. wedding Wednesday, September 1, of Miss Eleonore Louise Van Den Wildenburg and Wilmer Klug.  Father Robert Schmidbaur officiated at the ceremony.  Parents of the young couple are Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Van Den Wildenburg of Milwaukee, and Mrs. William Klug, Milwaukee, formerly of Loyal.

The bride wore an entrained gown of white net and lace over satin with an iridescent pearl head piece and a double veil of hip length.  She carried a pearl prayer book and two white orchids and yellow baby mums.

The matron-of-honor, Mrs. Glen Ellsworth, Merton, wore a yellow off the shoulder gown with a stole and pixy hat to match.  She carried yellow mums set in aqua net.

The bride chose Mrs. Lydia Nickels, and Mrs. Harry Cichocki, to be her bridesmaids.  Their gowns, stoles and hats were aqua, otherwise identical to those of the matron-of-honor. They carried large bouquets of white and yellow baby mums.

Joseph Kernz of Neillsville, a friend of the groom, served as bestman. The groomsmen were the bride’s brother, Edward A. Van Den Wildenburg and the groom’s brother, Earl Klug.  Jim Ellsworth, Merton and Howard Nuenburg of Milwaukee served as ushers.

A one o’clock dinner was served to 100 guests at the Elks Club. A reception was held later at the Evergreens.

The young couple left the following day for a honeymoon to the Black Hills.  After their return they will reside at W. Washington Blvd. Milwaukee.

The groom is well known to many in this community, having spent much of his life in and around Loyal.

Guests at the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Ben Kadolph, Mr. and Mrs. Reno Herdrich, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dahl, all of Loyal.
