Strack, Irene  (29 AUG 1934-08 SEPT 2002)

 

Irene C. Strack, 68, Stratford, died on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002, at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital Palliative Care. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Chapel, Marshfield. The Rev. Sue Ehidal, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, Stratford officiated. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield. Pallbearers were Bob Trimble, Greg Klos, Emery Hanson, Gerry Viegut, Phil Smith and Mike Spuhler. Honorary pallbearers were Myron Freund and Trevor Wilson.

 

Irene Carol Schroeder was born on Aug. 29, 1934, in the town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County, to Albert and Alma (nee Brandt) Schroeder. She attended elementary school in March Rapids and graduated from Stratford High School in 1952. She married Newell L. Strack on Oct. 31, 1953, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, March Rapids. They lived in Tomahawk, Loyal amd Texas, where she worked at a bank until her retirement in 1994. They then moved to Stratford, where she resided until the time of her death.

 

Survivors include her husband, Newell Strack, Stratford; two daughters, Karen (Greg) Klos, Wausau, and Kathy (Bob) Trimble, Loyal; and three grandchildren, Jennifer and Katie Trible and Miranda Klos

 

Her parents preceded her in death.

 

Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home, Marshfield, assisted the family with arrangements.
