Wozniak, Michael  (16 NOV 1960-25 DEC 2010)

Michael J. Wozniak, 50, Chippewa Falls, went home to be with the Lord in the evening on Dec. 25, 2010, while surrounded by his family on the farm in Stanley. A memorial mass was held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Stanley. Rev. Joseph Raja officiated.

Michael John Wozniak was born on Nov. 16, 1960, in Stanley, to John and Dorothy (nee Henke) Wozniak. He graduated from Stanley-Boyd High School and later attended CVTC for diesel mechanics and agriculture business. He was a man of many trades, farming for many years in Willard, working in construction, as a diesel mechanic and service technician for DC Atlas, A1 Rental, and Royal Construction. He had many interests, working with youth wrestling, hunting and fishing, and building and pulling mini-rods with his son, Steven. He cherished the time he spent fishing behind his home on Glen Loch. He especially loved his nieces, nephews and grandchildren, telling them jokes and wrestling. He always was eager to help others, and the first to be there when anyone was in need. He had a passion for bargain hunting and tinkering with his many toys.

He will be missed dearly by his four children, Jessica (Robert) Burgess, Chippewa Falls, Sherry Wozniak, Chippewa Falls, Mindy Wozniak, Chippewa Falls, and Steven Wozniak, Stevens Point; two grandsons, Marshall and Lawrence, Chippewa Falls; his parents, John and Dorothy Wozniak, Stanley; and eight siblings, Joyce (Roger) Riedel, White Bear Lake, Minn., Bruce (Roberta) Wozniak, Mew Richmond, Brian (Cindy) Wozniak, Stanley, Mary Sue (Jeff) Karlen, Owen, Thomas (Rebecca) Wozniak, Stanley, Paul Wozniak, Sullivan, Jane Burzynski, Stanley, and Robert (Annitna) Wozniak, Verona.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Donna.

Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley, assisted the family with arrangements.
