Wepfer, Claude Jr. (12 JUN 1961 - 7 AUG 1961)

Private funeral services for Myron Claude Wepfer Jr., infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Wepfer, were held Tuesday afternoon at four o’clock at the Hansen Funeral Home in Marshfield.

Irene Zahorka and Della Williams were in charge of the services.  Interment was made in Hillside Cemetery at Marshfield.

The six week old baby died Monday afternoon of bronchial pneumonia.

The baby, in apparent good health, had been asleep on the bed and when the babysitter went to check him at 1:50 p.m., found him turning blue.  She called Mr. Wepfer at the Dairyland Realty office and his efforts to revive the infant by mouth to mouth respiration failed.  Mrs. Wepfer was on a business errand at the time.

Marathon County Coroner Herbert Lambert said the suffocation was caused by an advanced case of pneumonia.

Myron Claude Wepfer Jr. was born June 12, 1961 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.  Surviving him are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Myron C. Wepfer, and two brothers and there sisters: Rodney 8, Duane,7, Lori Ann 5, Beverly 3, and Laurel 2.

Also surviving are his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Thompson of Berlin; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Norma Wepfer of Chicago; his paternal great-grandmother, Mrs. William Wepfer; and paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Zahorka of Colby.
