Michael Tkachuk, age 95, of Lublin, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2011, at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen.  Private family services were held.

 

Thorp Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Michael Tkachuk, age 95, of Lublin, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2011, at the Clark County Care Center in Owen. Private family services were held.

 

Michael Tkachuk was born on September 26, 1915, in rural Lublin, WI to Konstantine and Anna (Paszkowska) Tkachuk.  He was raised on the home farm and received his education at area schools.  He was united in marriage to Lydia Jaeger on November 18, 1943 in Medford, WI.  Michael farmed his entire life until his retirement.

 

In his spare time, Michael enjoyed woodworking, bird watching (especially bluebirds), and antique cars.  He was a member of the Chequamegon Bird Club.

 

Michael is survived by his wife, Lydia, of Lublin; four children: Jeanette (Philippe) Challe of Plaisir, France, Marilyn (Tilton Davis) Tkachuk of Red Wing, MN, Michael (Sue) Tkachuk of Elm Mound, and Raymond (Tracy) Tkachuk of Lublin and by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Steve, Ray, and Bill; and three sisters: Sophie, Tillie, and Katherine.
