Hermanson, Marcus (15 FEB 1879 - 26 MAR 1961)

Funeral services for Marcus Hermanson, 82, who died Sunday morning at the Havenet Nursing Home, Owen, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Curtiss, with the Rev. Donald I. Olson officiating.  Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Hermansen was born Feb. 15, 1879 in Norway and came to America about 1900.  He was married to Miss Serena Bjergaard at Eau Claire Dec. 4, 1909.

The couple farmed west of Curtiss and after their retirement, lived in Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.).  Mrs. Hermanson died about 10 years ago.  Mr. Hermanson was a resident of a nursing home at Greenwood for a few years and following hospitalization for a fractured hip, he was at the Havenet Home.

Surviving him are two sons, Avery and Henry, both of Brooks, Ind., and a daughter, Mrs. Harry Laabs Sr. of Tomah.  There are seven grandchildren.
