Hintz, William #2 (5 MAY 1881 - 20 FEB 1961)

 

Funeral services for William Hintz, 79, rt. 1, Abbotsford, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby.

 

Mr. Hintz died at the Auburndale Nursing Home Monday morning.  He had been ill for the past six weeks and was taken to the home Saturday.

 

The Rev. F. H. Sprengler, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, officiated, and burial was made in the town of Holton Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were Walter Fitense, Morris Gierl, Lawrence Jacobi, Raymond Kiefer, Ed Koehler and William Smith.

 

Herbert Juneau sang at the ceremony.

 

William Hintz was born May 5, 1881 in the Town of Holton.  He attended school there, and lived in this area all his life.

 

He married the former Ida Prange May 17, 1906, and the couple farmed until a few years ago.  Mrs. Hintz died June 30, 1960.

 

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Della Leahy, Abbotsford, three grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren and 52 step-great-grandchildren.
