Kuhl, Bettie Ellen (16 May 1923 - 4 January 2011)

Bettie Ellen Kuhl, 87, of Granton died peacefully, Tuesday, Jan. 4, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Bettie was born May 16, 1923, in Granton, the daughter of Rella and Bessie Osgood.  She graduated from Granton High School and continued her education in Stevens Point.

Bettie married Harland (Butch) Kuhl in Iowa Jan. 3, 1947.  He predeceased her May 29, 1999.

Bettie taught school in Granton Country Schools.  Her students remember her fondly. She was also the bookkeeper for several years for Kuhl Implement, Inc., which she and her husband Harland (Butch) founded in 1958.  One of her great joys was watching the growth of her family’s farm.

Bettie is lovingly survived by her children, Wayne (Janice) Kuhl of Granton and Juliana Kuhl of Hayward.

She was predeceased by a son, William (Bill); her parents; and a brother, Francis.

A private memorial will be held at Windfall Cemetery in Granton in spring.
