Heindl, Eugene J. (9 OCT 1919 - 25 DEC 1960)

 

A solemn mass of requiem was sung for the burial service of Eugene John Heindl at Holy Rosary Church at Medford Saturday morning at 10:30.  Mr. Heindl died at Rochester, Minn., Dec. 25, 1960 of a heart ailment.

 

The Rev. Arthur Heindl was celebrant of the mass for his brother; the Rev. Francis Heindl, another brother, was deacon; the Rev. Andrew Berthold was sub-deacon, and the Rev. Raymond B. Schulz was master of ceremonies.

 

Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery at Stetsonville.  Pallbearers were Eddie Riegert, James Hollman, Melvin, Norbert, Leon and Darrel Hrantner.

 

Eugene John Heindl was born Oct. 9, 1919 in the town of Holton and attended Dorchester schools.  On June 11, 1946, he was married to the former Alice Riegert of Stetsonville.  They made their home at Medford where he was employed at the Hurd Millwork Corp.  He served as financial secretary of the Hurd Union and also had served as president of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.

 

Surviving him are his widow, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Heindl, town of Holton; five brothers; the Rev. Francis Hendl, Holy Cross Seminary, La Crosse; the Rev. Arthur Heindl, Fennimore; Bernard and Urban Heindl, Abbotsford; James Heindl, Dorchester; and one sister, Mrs. Clarence (Helen) Riegert, Stetsonville.

 

Relatives and friends who attended the funeral were from Fond du Lac, La Crosse, Green Bay, Menomonie, Kaukauna, Marshfield, Mineral Point, Stetsonville, Dorchester, Colby, Fort Atkinson and Abbotsford.
