Fremont Township (Gravel Roads - 1938)

 

At a special meeting of the town board of the Town of Fremont, held in the town hall last Wednesday, bids for graveling five and one-half miles of town road were received and the work let to two separate bids Birge and Davis of Marshfield will gravel two and one-half miles of road using gravel from the Glen Peterson pit in the Town of Lincoln.  Anton Shober, the other bidder, will surface three miles of road, using decomposed granite from the Naedler pit in the Town of York.
