Bieneck, Cathy Helen Jean (2 December 1958 - 2 January 2011)

 

Cathy H. Bieneck, 52, of Neillsville did peacefully with her loving family and husband by her side Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

 

Cathy Helen Jean Schleifer was born Dec. 2, 1958, in Black River Falls, the daughter of Richard and Patricia (Peters) Schleifer.  When she was two, her family moved to Neillsville where she received her education and in 1977 graduated from Neillsville High School.  She then attended and graduated from Cosmetology School in Eau Claire and went to work for My Lady Hair Salon in Marshfield for one year.  Cathy then came back to Neillsville and worked at Joan’s Hair Hut for 31 years. Recently, she was very proud to have earned her Cosmetology manager’s license.

 

Cathy was united in marriage to Duane Bieneck Sept. 16, 1978, at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Together they enjoyed 32 years of camping, fishing, deer hunting, making wine and spending time with their nieces, nephews and families. They are members of Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville.

 

She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Duane Bieneck of Neillsville; her parents, Richard and Patricia Schleifer of Neillsville; a brother, James (Camilla) Schleifer of Mandeville, TX; four sisters, Christy (Gary) Anding of Neillsville, Cheryl (Mark) Lavey of Farmington, MN, Clarissa (Ricky) Rochester of Neillsville and Carla Jo (Mitch) Schneider of Green Bay; 29 nieces and nephews; and her mother-in-law, Adeline Arndt of Neillsville.

 

Cathy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harlan and Marian Peters and Maynard and Margaret Schleifer; her father-in-law Paul Bieneck; a sister-in-law, Diana Schleifer; a nephew, Brett Lavey; and an aunt and Uncle Elizabeth and Junior Gilbertson.

 

Funeral services for Cathy will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville.  Pastor Joe Weiers will officiate.  Providing music will be Mark Lavey and Carla Jo Schneider. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Gesche Funeral Home and will again be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the Calvary Lutheran Church.

 

Honorary Casketbearers are Lucas Johnsrud, Matt Johnsrud and Mark Johnsrud.

 

Casketbearers are Gary Anding, Jake and Zachary Leitch, Justin Lavey, Ricky Rochester and Mitch Schneider.
