Parks, William B. (23 FEB 1905 - 25 NOV 1957)

 

Funeral services for William Boardman Parks were held on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 27th at the Thorp Methodist Church, Rev. Charles Hansen, Methodist Church, Chippewa Falls, officiating.

 

Mr. Parks passed away at the age of 52 years at the Victory Memorial hospital at Stanley on Monday, Nov. 25th, 1957, after a short illness, the aftermath of an attack of influenza.

 

He was born Feb. 23, 1905 in Thorp (Clark Co.), Wis., and spent nearly all his life in Thorp.  At the time of his death he was employed as a maintenance man for the Foremost Blue Moon Inc., for the past 15 years.

 

He was united in marriage to Cecelia Kurowski on April 22, 1928, in Thorp.

 

He is survived by his wife, Cecelia Parks, three daughters, Mrs. Louie (Beverly) Badzinski, Wausau, Delores, Wausau, and Gretchen at home, one son, William of Milwaukee, one sister, (Violet) Mrs. Louie Haft, Cedarburg, Wis., and two grandchildren.

 

He was laid to rest in the East Thorp Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were Harry Guella, Nick Krupa, Robert Herman, Bernie Rusch, August Velcheck, and William Wolf.
