Lother, Carol A. (16 NOV 1957)

Carol Ann Lother, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Dobrowski of Muskego, Wis., became the bride of Kenneth M. Schmidt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin A. Schmidt of Milwaukee and former residents of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), in a ceremony performed at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Milwaukee, and solemnized with a nuptial high Mass by Rev. Leonard Pieckowski at 9:00 a.m., Nov. 16th, 1957.

The bride was attended by Darlene Schmidt, Milwaukee, sister of the groom, as maid of honor, and Shirley Lother, Muskego, sister of the bride, and Phyllis Zurakowski, Chicago, aunt of the grooms, as bridesmaids.  Stanley Poluzewski, Milwaukee, was best man, and Eddie Kamoski, Milwaukee, served as groomsman.  Jack Tomcak and Gordon Schmidt, cousins of the bride and groom, of Milwaukee, were ushers.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, Harold Lother, Milwaukee, was attired in a white floor length gown of French neckline sequin trim, and four-tiered Chantilly lace over satin with a chapel length train.  Her Queen Mary crown of illusion was accented with rhinestones and sequins which held her veil.  She carried a bouquet of white stephanotis and orchid, and prayer book.

The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore aqua colonial ruffled net over taffeta gowns, floor length, with matching taffeta colonial bouquets of white chrysanthemums and pink roses.  The bride’s mother was dressed in a blue metallic gown with chiffon trim, and the groom’s mother wore a taupe dress of nylon lace and taffeta trim.  Each wore a white orchid corsage.

The church was decorated for the occasion with white gladiolas and mums.  A wedding breakfast and dinner followed the ceremony with attending guests numbered at 300.

The newlyweds spent their honeymoon in Florida and will be at home to their friends in Milwaukee at 4028 So. 52nd St. after Nov. 30th.
