Pine Valley Township (29 September 1960)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Leland Appleyard of Mosinee visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Appleyard, last weekend.

 

Mrs. E. R. Shoults and daughter, returned last weekend to Lawley, Ala., following a month’s visit with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. George Crothers.

 

Lt. Jack Albrecht, who is assigned to duty at the Homestead Air Force Base, Fla., is spending a 10-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Albrecht.

 

Sarah Albrecht, who is teaching in Sheboygan, spent last weekend with her parents.

 

Mary Hanson, Eau Claire, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hanson, Friday and Saturday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Hanson, Jr., visited Mr. and Mrs. John Christie in Wayzata, Minn., last weekend.

 

Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Thompson of Milwaukee visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dux last weekend.

 

Mrs. Lizzie Schultz, who had been a surgical patient, returned from the hospital Sunday. She will make her home with Mr. and Mrs. August Nemitz while she is recuperating.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Yndogliato were hosts at a birthday party Saturday evening for their granddaughter, Susan Jean Jonkel, who was seven.  Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Gavin Upton, Debbie and Dean, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sollberger and Mickey of Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. George Jonkel and children of Huron, S. D.

 

Lois Mohr, St. Paul, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mohr, last weekend.

 

Harvey Mohr visited his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Novak, at Bruce Mound Saturday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Brown have received word from their daughter, Mrs. Raymond Goodwin of Chillicothe, Ill., stating that her son, Darrel, who played baseball with Neillsville two years ago, is now an offensive end on the University of Missouri football squad.  He is in his second year there.

 

Mrs. Orin Eastman will entertain the Sydney Sewing Club today (Thursday) at her home in Neillsville.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Tony Ganz of Mazon, Ill., visited Mr. and Mrs. Elwyn Baker several days last week.  Jo Anne Baker of Eau Claire spent last weekend at home.
