Stelloh, Edward C. (6 November 1908 - 10 September 1960)

 

Edward C. Stelloh, 51, of Rt. 2, Neillsville, was found dead Saturday morning at his farm home in the Town of Levis.  Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Bergemann Funeral Home.  The Rev. Virgil Holmes of the Methodist Church officiated, and burial was made in the Neillsville cemetery.

 

Mr. Stelloh was the son of the late Conrad and Louise (Martens) Stelloh, and was born November 6, 1908, in Milwaukee.  When he was two years old the family moved to Neillsville, where he received his education. 

 

During his lifetime he worked on farms and in a manufacturing plant in Marshfield.  During World War II he was employed as a welder in a shipyard in Sturgeon Bay.

 

He had been residing on his farm in the Town of Levis for the last two years.  Mr. Stelloh never married.

 

Surviving him are his mother, Mrs. Louise Stelloh, Neillsville; a sister, Mr. Paul (Ruth) Westphal of Milwaukee, and three nephews.

 

Pallbearers were: Roy Herron, George Pagenkopf, Ellis Wall, Edward, Frank and Walter Zank.

 

Hymns, "Nearer My God to Thee’ and "Rock of Ages" were sung by Ellis Wall, accompanied by Mrs. Jess Scott.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Westphal and three sons of Milwaukee were here for the service.
