Riverside Area (25 August 1960)

 

The Veefkind Homemakers club met last Thursday evening in the home of Mrs. Lowell Schultz.  Mrs. Erwin Farnsworth conducted the business meeting.  Mrs. Fred Lewin was a guest and became a member.  Mrs William Reinhamer received the door prize.

 

Election of officers was held. Officers elected were: President, Mrs. Carl Ihlenfeld, vice president, Mrs. Erwin Farnsworth; secretary-treasurer, Mrs. Henry Kurz; sunshine chairman, Mrs. Harvey Mews; and health chairman, Mrs. Elmer Horn.

 

The next meeting will be held September 22 at the home of Mrs. Henry Kurz.

 

Lora Dankemyer of Neillsville spent a few days in the Lyle Doehr home.  Becky Doehr spent the same length of time in the Dankemyer home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lindow and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Ott attended the funeral of Otto Zuelke in Owen Tuesday.

 

Sharon and Janice Johnson of Milwaukee came Thursday to spend several weeks with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Dankemyer.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Boysen and family of Villa Park, Ill., visited from Thursday until Saturday with Mrs. Boysen’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Manford Cain.  Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Schilling, Sherman and Carolyn of Milledgeville, Ill., were Sunday guests there.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Martin Dankemyer, Philip, Sharon and Janice Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. William Dankemyer and Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Dankemyer attended a reunion of the Dankemyer family at Rib Mountain Sunday.

 

Friends in the area attended a coin shower Sunday evening at the E. U. B. Church in Chili for Arlene Schafer and Roger Lee.

 

Dexter Brue is a surgical patient in a Marshfield hospital.

 

Elaine Schmoll is visiting relatives in Milwaukee and Elkhorn.

 

Janice Pescinski of Milwaukee is visiting her brother, Ralph and his family.
