Sage, Harry (? - 15 August 1960)

 

Funeral services for Harry Sage of Rt. 2, Neillsville, who died at his home on August 15, were held from the Methodist Church in Cataract August 19, with the Rev. A. E. Frederick of Sparta officiating.  Burial was made in the Cataract Cemetery, with graveside military rites.

 

Pallbearers were: Elmer Bacon, Leonard Boisen, Vern Hammond, Jason Janes, Edwin Mull and Lyle Rugg.  Mrs. Albert Anderson and Mrs. Donatus Anderson, accompanied by Mrs. Troy Smith, sang, "The Old Rugged Cross" and In the Garden."

 

In charge of military rites were Lt. Henry Heitman and Sgt. John Hinda.  Members of the firing squad were Sp 5/c James Pulham, Sp 4/c Tom Feunger, Spc. James McMann, Pfc. Keith Greeno, Pvt. 2/c Kenneth Greeno, and Pvt. 2/c Donald Herr.

 

Out of town relatives and friends attending were: Mrs. Harry Sage and David, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Holub, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lindow, all of Neillsville; Mrs. Lulu Eddy and W. A. Eddy of Black River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sappington of Kansas City, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Sage and Mrs. Florence Sage of La Crosse; James Jerome of Bangor; Alvin Meinking, Mrs. LaVerne Meinking of Galesville; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Halderson of La Crosse; Mrs. Sarah Middleman, Mrs. Elsie Rockwell, Mrs. Martin Olsen, Roger Eddy and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Humlingion, all of Sparta.
