Mr. and Mrs. Henry Smith have returned from a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin and Michigan.
The Smiths were married at the Loyal Methodist parsonage on Saturday, July 2. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Lee H. Holmes at 2 p.m.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Duell of Loyal. The groom is the son of Mrs. Eda Smith, also of Loyal.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Speich, brother0in-law and sister of the bride, attended the couple. The bride wore gold moire taffeta with white accessories and yellow and white roses. Mrs. Speich wore a powder blue moiré gown, white accessories, and talisman roses.
A dinner and reception were held at the home of the bride’s parents.
Mrs. Smith is a graduate of the Loyal high school, with the class of 1936. The groom attended the Beaver Center school. He is now employed at the Central Chevrolet garage in Greenwood. Mr. Smith spent 42 months in service in World War ll, 23 months of which were in the European theater and four months in the Pacific.
The newlyweds will make their home in Greenwood.
To the newlyweds, The Loyal Tribune extends its wishes for a long and happy married life.
Dorothy Duell, daughter of Frank & Anna (Flaherty) Duell.
She married Henry Smith, son of Henry Sr. & Eda (Johnson) Duell.
Henry is buried in Loyal City Cemetery and our index shows the names of his parents and his wife's name.
Her name and DOB are listed in the cemetery index, but she is shown as living.
Further research revealed her parents names.
