Klapatauskas, Katherine (4 March 1890 - 17 June 1960)

 

Mrs. Michael Klapatauskas, 70, Willard, died after a long illness early Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Matt Gregorich, where she had resided for the last eight months.

 

Mrs. Klapatauskas, nee Katherine Jazouskas, was born March 4, 1890, in Lithuania, and was married to Michael Klapatauskas August 24, 1913, in Chicago Heights, Ill.  IN 1915, they settled on a farm northwest of Greenwood.  They retired from farming 10 years ago.  Her husband died February 10, 1960. 

 

Surviving are seven daughters and three sons: Mrs. Matt (Katherine) Gregorich of Greenwood; Mrs. Al (Mary) Fischer, Mrs. Ernest (Stella) Dubinsky, Miss Martha Klapatauskas and Mrs. Matt (Josephine) Wind, all of Chicago; Mrs. Sam (Frances) Vallone of Milwaukee; and Mrs. Frank (Agnes) Debevec of Willard; Julius of Thorp; Mike Jr., of Willard; and Charles of Withee; 32 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were held Monday at 9 a.m. from the Hill Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. from the Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard.  The Rev. Aloysius Madic officiated.  Burial was made in the Holy Family Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were Albert and Edward Morrison, Raymond Collins, George Klovas, Leo Gregorich and Glenn Dahl.
