Noeldner, Mary Elaine (Marriage - 19 June 1960)
Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, was the setting for the marriage of Mary Elaine Noeldner and Arlyn Harold Turnquist, Sunday. The Rev. V. A. Ganz performed the ceremony at 3 p.m.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Noeldner of Rt. 1, Greenwood, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Turnquist of Rt. 3, Greenwood.
Nathan and Donald Noeldner and Harold Pfohl sang, "O Lord Most Holy" and "The Lord’s Prayer." Miss Jean Noeldner was at the organ.
The bride’s gown was of nylon organza made with scooped neckline, short sleeves, very full floor length skirt with brush train and embroidered edging. Her fingertip veil of imported silk illusion, with scalloped rolled hem edge was caught to a crown of seed pearls. Her flowers were a cascade arrangement of pink, rose and white carnations.
She chose for her attendants her four sisters, all of Rt. 1 Greenwood. Carol was her maid-of-honor, Kristine and Beatrice were her bridesmaids, and Helen was her junior bridesmaid. All gowns and bouquets were identical. Each wore a street length formal of white Dacron over pink taffeta, designed with scoop neckline, short puckered sleeves, pink taffeta cummerbund, and Dacron over skirt, puckered and falling into balloon effect. Each carried a nosegay of pink roses, white carnations and swansonia.
James Turnquist served as his brother’s bestman; and two other brothers, John and Robert, were groomsmen. Ushers were Martin Zickert and Gary Oswald, a cousin of the groom, both of Greenwood.
