Grabowski, Josephine #2 (2 MAR 1957)
At St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Gilman a pretty wedding took place at 9 o’clock on Saturday morning, March 2, 1957. Miss Josephine Grabowski became the bride of John Rogalski Jr. in a double ring ceremony performed by Rev. Father John Dzurko. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Grabowski of Gilman and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Rogalski of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).
Mr. Grabowski gave his daughter in marriage. For her wedding she chose a very full floor length gown with a short train, long sleeves, embroidered net over taffeta and a fingertip veil which was secured by a crown with a pearl drop. She carried a bouquet of two dozen white roses with lilies of the valley.
The bride’s attendant was her sister, Terri Grabowski of Chicago, Ill., who wore a ballerina length cocktail dress of russet and brown with matching hat and shoes. Her bouquet consisted of yellow roses.
Attending the groom was John Levien, a cousin of the bride, of Chicago, Ill.
Rosebuds on the tables and colored streamers and white bells were used as decorations.
A reception was given by the bride’s parents at Koolmo’s Night Club near Gilman with old time music throughout the afternoon and evening.
The bride attended High School at Gilman and College at Eau Claire. The groom attended Thorp public school.
They went to Chicago on their honeymoon and will be at home here after March 10th where the groom is engaged in farming.
Guests from out of town at the wedding were from Thorp, Chicago, Sheldon, Owen and Eau Claire.
