The bride was given in marriage by her father and was attired in a white gown of French embroidered taffeta of high neckline, long traveling sleeves and cathedral train with rows of ruffles.  She carried a white orchid with purple throad on a white Prayer book with white streamers.

A queenly coronation headdress of lace topped a fingertip veil with rose point lace edge.

The couple was attended by Miss Theresa Nowobielski of Chicago, as maid of honor, and Ronnie Witt of Stanley, best man.  Other bridesmaids were Miss Joan Nowobielski, twin sister of the bride, and Miss Betty Kowieski, niece of the groom.  Margie Jacobzi of Chicago, a niece of the groom, was flower girl.  The groom was attended by George Klovas, his brother-in-law, and serving as ushers were Joe Nowobielski, Chicago, brother of the bride, and Jake Niedzwiecki Jr., brother of the groom, of Thorp.

For the wedding the sanctuary was decorated with palms and bouquets of yellow daisies and bronze mums adorned the altar.  Miss Lillian Kaczmarek sang "Ave Maria" during the offertory, with St. Hedwig’s Choir, accompanied by Al Ciolkosz on the organ.

The reception was given at St. Hedwig’s Parish Hall following the ceremony where dinner was served to 200 guests at 5:30 p.m.
