Brown, Esther I. (25 DEC 1880 - 8 NOV 1956)

 

Mrs. Esther I. Brown, 75, passed away at her home in Stanley on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 8th.

 

Esther Walters was born in Riceville, Iowa, Dec. 25, 1880 where she lived her early life.  In 1906 she married Herman Brown of Stanley, and they made their home in Iowa until 1907 when they moved to Stanley.  In 1910 they moved to their farm home in the town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.) where they lived until Mr. Brown’s death in 1931.  Since that time she has been a resident of Stanley, where she resided at the time of her dath Nov. 7th, 1956.

 

She leaves to mourn, six children, Lila (Mrs. Reid Gibbs) of Chippewa Falls; Fay (Mrs. Joe Czubin of Mukwonago;  Ray of Grafton, Wis.; Harry of Laurel, Montana; Norma (Mrs. Leo Greene) of South Bend, Wash.; Kenneth of Wausau, Wis.; and one brother Ray Walters of Livingston, Montana.

 

Funeral services were conducted for the deceased by Rev. Cecil Ward at the Stanley Methodist Church at 2:00 o’clock Saturday afternoon with interment following in the Oakland Cemetery at Stanley.

 

Relatives and friends from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Reid Gibbs, Hoard and Jeanette of Chippewa Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Czubin and Joan of Mukwonago, Clyde Czubin of Milwaukee, Ray Brown of Granton, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Brown, Mrs. Lillie Brown, Patsy and Lyle Dean of Cedarburg, Mrs. Leo Greene, South Bend, Wash., Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brown, Norma Jean and Diane of Laurel, Mont., Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Walter, Cedar Rapids, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gibbs and children of thorp, Mrs. Joe Walczak and Rose Czubin of Minneapolis.
