Giloy, William (? - 12 November 1959)

Friends and neighbors of William Giloy, 56, known to all as Bill, were shocked Tuesday morning to hear that he had died suddenly that morning about 8 o’clock, in his home.  He had been in poor health for some time.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church, with the Rev. Carl Serr officiating.  Burial was made in Eastlawn Cemetery, Alma Center.

Mr. Giloy was born in the Town of Garden Valley, Jackson County, and had lived all his life in that area as a farmer.

Survivors are his wife Helen; two daughters, Sharon, 11 and Nancy, 9; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Mueller of Spencer, Mrs. Martin Fisher and Rosetta Giloy, Chippewa Falls; four brothers, Vernon of Milwaukee, Gerald of Sussex, Herbert and Clarence of Humbird.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert in 1949.

He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church.
