Neillsville, Wisconsin Area (24 September 1959)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Willard Gerhardt, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Meyer and Mr. and Mrs. George Herbel and son were Saturday evening guests at the James West home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Hardwick and children of Humbird visited Sunday evening with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Herbel.

 

George Hagen of Modesto, Cal., is a guest of his cousins, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Haugen.  Mr. Hagen spent last weekend with relatives in Park Falls.  Mr. and Mrs. Haugen and their guest will leave Friday for a weekend visit with relatives in Madison and Stoughton.

 

Mrs. Belle Wildish and Bob Wegner visited Sunday with relatives of Mrs. Wildish in Platteville and Cuba City.

 

Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Benson visited from Sunday to Tuesday of last week with Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Benson in Eau Claire.  Sunday they attended a Benson family gathering at Carson Park.

 

F. E. Berger of Minneapolis, who is connected with the University of Minnesota, called Sunday at the B. J. Benson home.  He was enroute to Madison on a business trip.

 

Clair Wendt, a graduate of Neillsville High School, and who has completed  three years of service with the army, has enrolled in Wisconsin State College, Eau Claire.

 

Weekend guests at the Norbert Berlick home were Mr. and Mrs. Morris Johnson, Cudahy; Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Voigt, Madison, and Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Harrington, Milwaukee.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Swenson visited Sunday in Chippewa Falls with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. David Aldsworth.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Arne Schwellenbach and children of Eau Claire were guests Sunday of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Schwellenbach.

 

Mrs. Emma Karnitz, Humbird, is spending several days with Mrs. Hulda Wegner.

 

Mr. and Mrs. James Welke and children spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Letvin and family in Eau Claire.

 

Alvin Raether of Stockton, Cal., spent last week with his sister, Mrs. Minnie Wendt.

 

Mrs. Myrtie Berrett, who makes her home among her children, is spending some time with her daughter, Mrs. Alvin Wendt, and her family.  Mr. and Mrs. Wendt and Mrs. Berrett visited Sunday at the Verland Berrett home in Greenwood.

 

Mrs. Grace Giloy and Gail spent the weekend with her sister-in-law, Mrs. John Mueller of Spencer. They were accompanied home by Mrs. Mueller, who is spending several days in the Giloy home.
