Miss Marilyn Bertz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Bertz of Loyal, became the bride of Edward Bogdonovich of Greenwood, son of Eli Bogdonovich of Chicago, at 8:30 a.m. Monday, May 30. The nuptial high mass was solemnized at St. Anthony’s Catholic church by the Rev. Aloys Zinthefer.

 

Serving as maid of honor for her sister was Miss Colleen Bertz. Another sister, Mrs. Clarence Bushnell was bridesmaid. Mary Ellen Bertz, cousin of the bride was flower girl.

 

Edward Panyon of Duluth, Minn., cousin of the groom was best man, and Clarence Bushnell of Marshfield was groomsman. Ushers were Robert and David Bertz, brothers of the bride.

 

The bride’s gown was of white satin and net, ending in a long train. Her veil was attached to a crown-styled headdress. Her arm bouquet was of pink roses and pink and white carnations.

 

Both the maid of honor and bridesmaid wore gowns of white satin and net and white hats. They carried bouquets of light and dark pink and white carnations. The flower girl wore a floor length gown of white organdy and carried pink and white carnations.

 

The bride’s mother wore a gown of bemberg print with white accessories. She wore yellow carnations.

 

Dinner was served to75 guests in the church auditorium and a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents was held in the afternoon. A wedding dance was given at Merry Ol’ Gardens in Longwood in the evening.

 

Mrs. Lawrence Cowles made the four-tier wedding cake which centered the bride’s table. The cake was topped by a bouquet of flowers, and flowers surrounded its base.

 

Table waitresses and others assisted in the serving of the meals were: Betty Johannsen, Joan Bender, Mrs. John Castner, Norma Lueck, Gerry Haas, Ella Olsen, Ileen Rowley, Mrs. Benidict Braun, Mrs. Ed Searvogel, Mrs. Paul Bauer, Mrs. Joseph Esselman, Mrs. Hugh Stutte, Mrs. Rosalind Miller and Mrs. Raphael Haas.

 

Mrs. Bogdonovich is a graduate of the Loyal high school (rest of article unavailable)
