Elsinger, Carol Ann (Marriage - 29 August 1959)

When Miss Carol Ann Elsinger was presented for marriage, by her father, to Jon Martin Fisher at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, she wore a gown of white pure silk organza over taffeta, styled with a bouffant skirt with train and a large bow trim at back.  Sequin trimmed lace fashioned the scoop neckline and the short sleeves were complimented with matching gauntlets.  A pearlized orange blossom crown held her fingertip veil of illusion net.  Her flowers were a cascade arrangement of red roses, fugi ‘mums, and stephanotis.

The Rev. N. E. King officiated at the Saturday morning ceremony.  St. Anthony’s choir sang.

In gowns of nylon sheer, identically styled, were Miss Jeanette Elsinger, Greenwood, Rt. 2, who was her sister’s maid-of-honor, and bridesmaids, Mrs. Merlin Gardner of Evansville; Carmen Fisher, Wisconsin Rapids, cousin of the groom; Verna Elsinger, Minneapolis, cousin of the bride; and Mrs. Everette Smith, Humbird, sister of the groom.  Karen Elsinger, sister of the bride, and Kathy Jean Smith, niece of the groom, were flower girls.

Kenny Hanson, Granton, was bestman.  Other attendants of the groom were Merlin Gardner of Evansville, Herb Langfeldt of Loyal, cousin of the bride, and Peter Fisher, Marshfield, cousin of the groom.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. John Elsinger, Jr., Greenwood, Rt. 1, and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Fisher, Spencer, Rt. 2.

Both bride and groom are graduates of Loyal high School.  The bride is employed in Marshfield. The groom is a farmer.  When the couple returns from a honeymoon to Niagara Falls and Canada, they will live on a farm on Spencer, Rt. 2.

Brunch with 125 guests, and supper with 235 guests, was served in the church hall.  A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.  A dance was given at the Colby Park Pavilion.

Attending the wedding were guests from Gutenberg, Ia., Dell Rapids, S. D.; De Witt, Mich.; Minneapolis, Minn.; Milwaukee, Plymouth, Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids, Humbird, Oshkosh, Greenwood, Medford, Appleton and Loyal.
