Mr. and Mrs. Lacey Philpott of Loyal were supper guests in observance of his birthday, at the Leon Kuester home Monday.

 

Mrs. Everett Humke and daughter arrived Monday from Rochester, Minn., to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Stewart, while Mr. Humke attended a bankers school in Madison. Mrs. Humke will join him there today (Thursday).

 

Mr. and Mrs. Don Warner and grandson went to Bear Lake Sunday to visit his sister, Mrs. Harley Flatz.  Mr. and Mrs. Don Telford and daughter of Eau Claire also were there.  Dickie Lee returned to Chetek with them.

 

Mrs. Jake Speich and daughter and Mrs. Charles Ludwig were Sunday dinner guests at the Donald Speich home in Eau Claire.

 

The Women’s Guild of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will meet this (Thursday) afternoon.  Hostesses will be Mrs. Ralph Ystad, Mrs. Jack Felix, Mrs. Anna Elmer, Mrs. Olaf Johnson and Mrs. Ben Severson.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Leon Kuester spent the weekend at West Bend at the Lorris Dusso home.  Sunday the Kuesters and the Dusso family attended the ballgame in Milwaukee.  The Kuesters were accompanied by her patents, Mr. and Mrs. laude Catlin of Loyal.

 

Donald Stabnow returned to Wisconsin Dells Friday after a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Stabnow.

 

Mrs. Josephine Rowlands arrived Sunday from Sioux City, Ia., for a visit with her sister, the Rev. Ethel Nulton.

 

Mr. and Mrs. William H. Burns of Mellen spent Tuesday afternoon with his cousin, Truman Hill and his family.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kowieski and family of Auburndale, Mr. and Mrs. John Zepaltus and family, Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Brux and family and Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Kesler and family enjoyed a picnic supper at Mead Dam Sunday evening.  Sunday guests at the Brux home were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Moehrke of Kenosha.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Williams and family of Milwaukee came Sunday for a visit with his aunts, the Misses Allie and Florence Williams, and with the Wuethrich families.  They were accompanied by Mrs. W. N. Eaton of Necedah, who is a guest of her niece, Mrs. John Wuethrich.

 

Mary Ellen and Elaine Dietschmann of Gilman spent several days here with their sister, Mrs. Dale Poppe and her family.
