Haack, Diane Barbara (Marriage - 22 August 1959)

The marriage of Diane Barbara Haack, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Haack of Wauwatosa, to Norman R. Morbeck, son of Mrs. Frieda Morbeck of Milwaukee, took place at Calvary Memorial Evangelical and Reformed Church at Wauwatosa Saturday, with the Rev. Carroll J. Olm of Sheboygan officiating.

Mrs. Michael E. Kalin, sister of the bride, was matron-of-honor.  Bridesmaids were Miss Carol Morbeck of Milwaukee, sister of the groom, Miss Nancy Haack of Ironton, O., and Patricia and Priscilla Acheson, cousins of the bride of Neillsville.

Ralph Morbeck of Milwaukee, brother of the groom, was best man.  Other attendants were Alan Naedler of Neillsville, cousin of the bride, and Ronald Morbeck, brother of the groom, of Milwaukee.

The bride was attired in a Chantilly lace gown, styled with a bateau neckline.  Fluted nylon flounces alternated across the front of the bouffant skirt, the back of which extended into a chapel-length train.  The headpiece consisted of a sequin and pearl-trimmed crown and a finger tip veil.  A cascade of white carnations and pink rosebuds surrounded a white orchid in her bouquet.

The matron of honor was attired in white organdy with mint green embroidery on a bouffant skirt, with matching picture hat and shoes. She carried a colonial basket of green carnations with cascade of pink rosebuds.

Marvin Moran was the soloist.  Michael Kalin and Robert Wiesinger of Milwaukee were ushers.

Dinner and reception took place at the Patio at 6 o’clock, for relatives and immediate friends.  Attending from Neillsville were: Mr. and Mrs. Hilbert Naedler and Alan; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Acheson and twin daughters, Patricia and Priscilla; Mrs. Calvin Swenson; Mr. and Mrs. Stuart A. Lathrop.  Mr. and Mrs. Donald Peacock of Eau Claire also were in attendance.

The newlyweds planned a honeymoon trip in northern Michigan and Mackinac Island, and will make their home at 221 S. 64th Street, Milwaukee.  He is employed in Milwaukee, and she is a secretary there.

The bride is a former resident of Christie and a graduate of Neillsville High School (with the Class of 1957).
