Lezotte, Donna Marie (Marriage - 22 August 1959)

The Rev. Fr. Joseph Eisenmann performed a double ring ceremony Saturday morning in St. Mary’s Catholic Church uniting in marriage Miss Donna Marie Lezotte, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lezotte, Rt. 1, Neillsville, and Allen Joseph Larson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Larson of Blair.

The bride wore a floor-length gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle over satin. The colonial-style dress was fashioned with a very full bouffant skirt with detail on side lace peplum that extended into panels to the floor.  The tulle ruffles extended beneath the peplum to the bottom of the skirt.  The fitted bodice of lace, with a Sabrina neckline, had long, sleeves that came to a point at the wrist.  Her veil of silk imported illusion was attached to a full crown of pearls and sequins.  Yellow orchids, surrounded by white roses,  made up her bridal bouquet.

Miss Paulette Lezotte, sister of the bride, was her maid-of-honor.  Bridesmaids were Mrs. Ivan Peteron, sister of the groom, of Evansville, Ill., and Miss Marcia Lezotte, sister of the bride.

Two brothers of the bride served as attendants.  They were Leroy and Douglas Lezotte, groomsmen.  Ushers were Phillip Hoeser and Oliver Anason. Best man was Alvin Larson, the groom’s brother.

A reception at the home of the bride’s parents was attended by 150 guests.

On their return from a wedding trip to Minnesota and Canada, they will reside in Blair, where the groom is employed.
