Christie, Wisonsin (23 July 1959)

 

Steve Tichy of Christie and Ernest Aeschbacker and son, Bob, of the Town of Grant, fished on Bear Lake Sunday.  Steve suggested that "it should have been named Bare Lake as there seemed to be no fish in it."

 

Leroy, Gary, Diane and Charles Johnson visited Mr. and Mrs. Harold Murphy in Neillsville Sunday.

 

Alvina Tichy and Patsy Tomlinson are spending this week at the Methodist youth camp at Pine Lake, near Friendship. They rode down with the Rev. Ethel Nulton of Greenwood.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Arden H. Mielke of Merrill visited Mr. and Mrs. George Schaefer Sunday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilson and five children of Sussex visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Holt, last weekend.  Mr. Wilson returned Sunday evening to Sussex and his family remained for a week’s visit.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kaczor and son, Alan, of Washburn were dinner and supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Holt Sunday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Elwyn Baker of Pine Valley visited Mr. and Mrs. Grant Slone Saturday.  The Bakers and Slones were neighbors in Mazon, Ill.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Erickson and children of York Center visited Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hediger, Jr.

 

Members of Happy Valley 4-H club of Christie, accompanied by their families, held a picnic at Greenwood park Sunday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lueck, and Mrs. Elsie Lueck of Neillsville, were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Lueck in Pine Valley.

 

Duane and Susan Eddy, who spent last week at the home of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Shaw, returned home Saturday evening.

 

Mrs. Nordahl Stigen and daughter, Mrs. Shirley Northup and son, Gary, went to Madison Tuesday for a two-day checkup at the Wisconsin General Hospital for Gary, who is 16 months old.

 

Marie, Wesley, Jr., and Wayne Stigen, children of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Stigen of Chicago, are spending two weeks at the homes of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Nordahl Stigen at Christie and at the Robert Stigen and Robert Gress homes in Neillsville.
