Bartkowiak, Mr. & Mrs. Mike (Golden - 5 FEB 1956)
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Bartkowiak celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, Feb. 5, 1956.
They attended the 10 o’clock High Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Junction, with Father Edward Sobczyk celebrant of the Mass.
The sisters of St. Hedwig’s Church decorated the altar very pretty with baskets of gold flowers and leaves.
Preceding the honored couple into church and to the altar was Father E. Sobczyk and the attendants, Mary Jaks and Billy Janicki, and Margaret Jaks and Ronald Janicki. They are children of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Jaks and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Janicki. The children each had a yellow mum and gold leaves boutonnière. After Mass, the honored couple, with their relatives and friends, attended a dinner at the church hall, which was prepared and served by the ladies of the parish. Over 300 guests were served. The honored couple’s table was beautifully decorated with lighted tapers and a three tier wedding cake trimmed with gold leaves. The hall was decorated with gold and white streamers.
Mrs. Bartkowiak greeted her relatives and friends wearing a navy blue print dress with a corsage of yellow mums and gold leaves tied with gold ribbon. Mr. Bartkowiak wore a gray suit with a yellow mum and gold leaves boutonniere.
In the evening a dance was held in their honor. Each one that attended the dance was presented with a gold leaf. Music was furnished by Rubenser’s Hot Shots.
Their relatives and friends wish the Bartkowiaks success and happiness for many years to come.
