Wetzel, Florence (Marriage - 9 May 1959)

Wedding vows were repeated Saturday by Miss Florence Wetzel and Leo Wiesner, Jr., both of near Neillsville.  Their marriage rites took place at 2 p.m. in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Norman Lindloff performed the single ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Emil Wetzel, Rt. 3, and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Wiesner, Sr., of Rt. 2 Neillsville.

For her wedding the bride, given in marriage by her father, selected a gown of floor-length white lace with matching accessories and a finger-tip veil.  She carried a bridal bouquet of red roses.

Maid-of-honor was Miss Hazel Wetzel, a sister of the bride.  Miss Joan Schultz was bridesmaid.

Bestman was Ed Strangfeld, and Ray Wetzel, brother of the bride, was groomsman. Ushers were Ed Tresemer and Bert Schultz.

Approximately 100 guests attended the reception at St. John’s Lutheran School following the ceremony.

Both the bride and groom attended Neillsville High School.

Mr. and Mrs. Wiesner will reside in Wisconsin Rapids, where the groom has employment.
