Vandeberg, Hilda (10 January 1908 - 14 April 1959)

 

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Irvin (Hilda) Vandeberg, 51, Rt. 1, Neillsville who died Tuesday morning in St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Marshfield, where she had been a patient for a day. The body will be taken from the Georgas Funeral Home Friday noon to the Christie Methodist Church, where the Rev. Ethel Nulton will officiate at services.  Burial will be made in the York Center Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Vandeberg, the former Hilda Edens, daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Jacobi) Edens, was born January 10, 1908, in the Town of York.  She received her education in the rural schools at York Center and worked at home.  On June 9, 1931, she was married to Irvin Vandeberg.  She was a lifetime resident of the Town of York.

 

She is survived by her husband and two daughters: Mrs. Jessie (Virginia) Richmond, Jr., Granton, and Mrs. Donald (Joyce) Richmond, Neillsville.  Other survivors include two sisters; Miss Erna Edens of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Donald (Vera) Kier of Marshfield; and two brothers, William Edens, Harvard, Ill., and Hans Edens, Poplar Grove, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

 

She was a member of the Christie Methodist Church and its Women’s Society of Christian Service.
